Kenya is a native from Naples, Texas. He left home and joined the United States Army, where he served over 21 years. His military experiences allowed him to meet various people from around the world. Kenya has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a Concentration in Management from the University of Phoenix. He went on to obtain his Master of Arts degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Kenya is licensed as a counselor (currently on the supervision of Yaneka Willis), in the state of Texas.
He has always been passionate about helping people since his childhood. From serving in his home church, community, and in his current occupation as an Employee AssistanceProgram Manager.
ShanTrail is a native of Spencer, Oklahoma. She is a Veteran of the United States Army, where she proudly served her country. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. ShanTrail is a Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist in which she obtained her Masters degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Kenya is licensed as a counselor (currently on the supervision of Yaneka Willis), in the state of Texas.
ShanTrail has always felt led to inspire others to see life more positively. She grew up in the church and love helping as much as she could. She is currently seeing clients in their private practice as a counselor.
The Kings' met and married while serving in the United States Army. They have been married for 24 years and are the proud parents of five wonderful children and grandparents of five grandchildren. They have been on many ventures together from attending college to running businesses. When the opportunity presented itself for them to have a radio show, they were a bit hesitant at first. They are both individuals that like to stay behind the scenes. What they thought was going to be a six-month stint turned into an almost seven-year journey in radio. They are radio personalities of Marriage Mondays with the Kings on KRGN 98.5 FM “The Rock,” based in Central Texas.
The Kings’ enjoy having date nights, traveling, and spending time with family. They are passionate about helping to build stronger marriages, families and communities throughout the world. They share the various ups and downs of their marital as God allows, so that it can be a blessing to others. Their hearts are to see people live the best blessed life that God intends for them to live.
